    Seaplane Ramps

Anyone know of some good add-on scenery seaplane ramps? There are of course default seaplane bases - but these are just locations on the water surface - but I am looking for spots where only an amphibian (including large ones) can transition from water to land and vice versa. Also, ideally, there shouldn't be an airport runway nearby (many fictitious sceeneries do this but if it was your 1930's Grumman and you had a choice you would NOT land in the brine if you could land on terra firma at the same place!). I have used a number of Chris Carel's (MoCat) ramps (ported from FS9) that are set up this way, but was wondering if there are others I have not yet discovered.

    Thanks

Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Mark's Solomon Islands package has a seabase for PBYs.

Yup, the PBY Base at the Florida Island Group near Tulagi. It is a "water airfield" though, with a beach ramp for parking and servicing. No connected airfield facilities on land.

Check out Midway Island, I remember being able to taxi the Aerosoft PBY out there onto the hardstand.

    Thanks all.

Mitch - I just get the front page to flightsim via your posted link - is there a name I can search?

Mark - love to bits your Solomon scenery. Keep going back there. Was there ever afcad parking for the airfields? I made a couple but that is the only thing missing to give the area some busy AI activity.
