I might pick up their C340...

I'm hoping that a corresponding Alabeo sale is around the corner, there's a few things I'd consider getting from that fleet.

    Hi,

Maybe texture size = High definition.

That is what I was wondering too. I got the HD version today and it is in 2048 x 2048. It puts a little drag on my FPS (12 -17 FPS ~) and I think the cheaper one may of yielded higher FPS rates althought
I think the detail in the HD version may be better.

I found a nice sound for it here

They just had a sale and I got the D17 and it's pretty neat. Only thing is that the 3D panel has a slight texture issue when the light on the panel goes from dark to light.
I've address them on this and at first they misunderstood me and thought it was a FSXA issue - they now realize it's a texture issue and will fix it on the next service pack update
    (When ever that is).........

Lots of good stuff there but I am holding out & saving cash for hope their Hawker 850XP will show up around or before Christmas. If not, lots of other things I will likely add to either my new must haves or stuff I've been holding off on. I have a feeling this Holiday is going to be one of the best for FS related deals and new item releases.

Surprisingly the Seneca V costs less than $12 in the Flightsimstore.

It's a steal for that price

I've seen the Malibu Mirage on sale too at PC Aviator I think.

That's the one I have been looking at for a couple of days Tim. I flew a a Seneca V that belonged to friend who worked at Colombo Baking Company. Take-off and landing were incredibly smooth and easy. That was one very sweet twin. I also keep hoping that A2A will come up with some price reductions. I love their aircraft too!

My Paypal account just got a bump up this morning. Time to go shopping. Is their Cessna Skymaster good? That's a great price at under $20.

I quite enjoy their Skymaster. I think there's a few niggles with some of the small stuff, much like all of the Carenado releases, but overall it's a great flyer and it's really nice to look at as well.

I just pulled my "mixer masher" out of the hanger for the first time in a year or so. Several things impressed me...good instrumentation, great gear up / down animation and good sound (I even pulled one engine to idle and went outside...you can hear one at power and one at idle). It is a very solid GA aircraft and seems very well suited for instrument training or just a fun VFR flight around the country-side. I recall that in the past it had an FPS impact on my system, but since I've done some tweaking the impact is not so noticeable (but still there). A very good $20 airplane for you!

Not an FSX flyer here, but I want to add a +1 for the Carenado C337. In my opinion, it's one of the gems in GA in FS9 - a beautiful model with all of the expected functionality and a great FDE and sounds. Of course, in FSX, it can't be one of the greatest of the greats (lacking Accusim and not bearing the hallowed name of RealAir), but it's still a very competent model and probably one of the best of the Carenado line up...

Edit: This works with the C208 HD only and not the C208 HD EX. I know, I found out the hard way.

Well, not quite a sale on all of their products, but I see that SimWare have certain Alabeo products reduced in price, including the Staggerwing.

I'm very tempted to get this myself!

Whether these price reductions will follow at other venodors, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    Cheers

    Totally agree!

Just took a glance at the SOH forums tonight, and without you posting this, I never would have heard of this Carenado Seneca V HD on sale. Thanks for posting this link!

You da man Tim... Merry Christmas to you and yours sir!!

Well, I had my eye on the C340 and the Commander 114; the tip on the Seneca V meant that I did a shopping trip at FSS tonight. I'd also had my eye on a few FTX airports for quite some time, and unfortunately enough for my wallet, when it was all said and done, my sim is $190 richer.

Thanks for the tip on the Seneca V; extremely good deal on that one!

Also, Paul, thanks for the heads up on the Alabeo sale. I don't have an account at that particular store, so I'm hoping a few of those sale prices to end up at the other places!

That is a good price, PC aviator isn't making offer like that. I noticed that it has the glass cockpit, hummm.... with my recent experience with their C208 HD E (GLASS COCKPIT) I can only imagine that
there will be a bit of a FPS performance drop. Nice plane, nice price though.

I didn't have chance last night to test out anything except for a quick look around the Commander 114, but that one seemed to be quite nice. There's a FDE update for it by Bernt Stolle too, so it should be a good flyer.
