    Mission Builder problem

I have two CFS2 installs, one WWII and one WWI with thier corrosponding MB's. The WWII MB works just fine. However, all of the functions in the WWI MB program work with one exception. The mission setup button causes a CTD. Does anyone know how to replace the possibly corrupt file(s) for MB without reinstalling the whole CFS2 program? Maybe replace it with the MB from the WWII install but can't find it

MB is part of the core program. You won't find it.

Check to make sure all of your AC's and Objects are set right.

did you delete all of the filelist.dat? atleast do the scenedb/inf folder. also make sure everything is activated.

I never fly missions from MB. I will always save and exit. then I have to wait for it to close so I can re-open CFS2. Then I can fly the mission. I've found that any install other then stock will do this to me.

I'm working on a remake of my WWI scenery. would you like a bata copy? I've made changes and added about 30 more aerodromes.

    BH,
All the AC and objects are right. I can do everything normally except the mission setup button. I'll give the .dat file idea a try since I haven't done that in a while.

I'm currently using Aerocrates scenery for my WWI install and I'm not sure if they are compatable but I can try it.

    Thanks

.dat and CDP file elimination did not fix it. I'm afraid the MB in the program for this second install is corrupt since the other install MB works fine. I may just have to reinstall the 2nd copy when I get time. Thanks again.

take your cfs2.exe and copy it from the your WWII. then paste it in to your WWI. maybe that will help.

All of my WWI scenery uses the Aerocrates scenery. If you would like a copy just PM me your email. It will replace my older version if you have it. That one only had 8 more areodromes. this one covers the whole western front. With a bunch in Flanders. I've added a few more German, French and British fields. Plus all of the Belgian.

I also have the Tondern scenery. I plan on adding a few fields in England.

    BH,

I'm not sure that pasting the CFS2.exe from the WWII install and re-reouting it will help. The builder extension does open up in the WWI install and works, it's just that one function (mission setup) where you choose the date, time weather and write the mission overview(s) that causes the CTD.

Its just a thought. I've done it in the past. If we can get someone else to chime in. otherwise I'm at a loss.

As long as all the other functions inside MB work, I can always hand edit the mission setup stuff. Will take longer but it's better than a re-installfor now.

Country .cfg for allegiances and .dp file for the same plus theater date.

It might also be an error in the airbases.dat file, such as a runway number missing or out of sequence, or a duplicate id number.

Dvslats gets the cigar! Country CFG file was bad. I D/L'd one from Aerocrates website for thier WWI campaigns and that's where the trouble started. I copied my country CFG from my WWII install and the Mission Setup button worked again. Thanks guys!!
