    error

    Does anyone know what this means? It pops up when loading but after clicking okay the program still runs.

    It looks like an effect error where one of the parameters is out. Have you installed anything new?

    Yes, I installed FSX and copied the effects over from FS9.

    Now is the time to be the bearer of bad news, if you know which effects you ported over, remove them and then put them back in one by one, restarting the sim each time until you find the culprit.

    when you find the offending effect, you copy it to your desktop, rename the .fx to .txt so that you can open it in Notepad. then you can look though the file to find the lines with those numbers.

    All you have to do is transpose the numbers so that the lowest number is to the right i.e. -9, -8, -7....0...7, 8, 9 e.c.t., save it , then rename the file back to .fx

    @ bruce448, just a suggestion, much simpler to use the "Open with" option and set Notepad as the default program for .fx files.
    Useful for .cfg files in this context too.
