    Icon26 DC3 New Texture Available

    Hi Good People,

Edward and I had a little digression today - Edward came across a great looking theme which we both thought would be something interesting to do and share with the simming community.

The U.S. Navy Douglas R4DS - Ready 4 Duty - with a bit of nose art for this girl..... - yep another one outside the Ford Project Era range - but an interesting one to do and share

The livery is now available on at http://www.ford-tri-motor.net - click on the Other Aircraft button and navigate to the DC3 Stuff.

    Enjoy

Thanks for the repaint. I have a question though. The repaint shows up really dark in fsx during daytime, like it's dawn or night? Any idea why this is?

    Not dark for me!

Hey Mate, sorry but it must be your setup. My old and lame DELL OptiPlex 745 with 8 Gig ddr2 memory
and a Nvidia GeForce 210.0 video card is not dark or dusk looking with this texture in my FSX system.
I did not convert it but run it as a BMP formats as done by Garry J. SMITH. Good luck
    and take care Friend.

    Regards.

    Hi Mate,

In my FSX version she shows up fine in Dawn, Day, Evening and Night modes. There is some light alpha layering (bits of shiny stuff) applied but all of that shows up fine as well.

I am using the bulk standard FSX - only with the latest updates - no additional tweaking or enhancement products applied.

Sorry that your having troubles - but the DC3 Repaints we have released seem to be working for my system and others in FSX then there is not much I can do to diagnose or resolve your issues.

    Regards
