found Amelia Earhart plane fragment
Look What I Have Become!
Kind of odd they found this back in 1991 and have just now decided it's a piece of her plane.
Yah, I read/seen this before. Another attempt of Tighar to justify their theory. Well, I believe something when some real facts are presented.

Look What I Have Become!
I think this is an interesting bit of historical research and I look forward to hearing if any future underwater search turns up additional credible corroborative evidence.
As a trained historian, I can appreciate the long time it takes to establish theories, arguments and such for controversial arguments.
I think TIGHAR has provided some very interesting forensic analysis with their claim. The page I was reading on their site, sent me to a very detailed and well-documented discussion (complete with photos) that clearly demonstrates the forensic analysis the TIGHAR group is using to make their claims.

Just thought I'd chime in.
Sorry Bookman, I disagree entirely.
Tighar has done nothing but twist any facts, if any, to justify their theory.
They have decided to put AE on Gardner Is. and have bent, twisted, changed, rewrote anything and everything to make it so.
Again, with out any actual facts what so ever.
I would really like to know what really happened, but lets keep an open mind.
