    Jamie,

    Let me be the first to congratulate you on this. I've been bugging you about this for a long time...and it's nice to see this model come to fruition! Rest assured that she will be used...Bomber Command in her darkest hours!

    Jamie,

    Please forgive me for being "that guy," but I noticed some things in the MISC Data Section that caught my eye.

    [MISC_DATA]
    unit_family=2
    category=2
    allegiance=3
    max_group_size=8
    min_speed=64
    cruise_speed=145
    max_speed=220
    min_alt=50
    cruise_alt=15080
    max_alt=19620
    entered_service=6/8/38
    crew=4

    The cruising and maximum altitudes were given in feet, not meters, and the speeds were listed in knots, not km/h. In addition, the allegiance was set to the US Navy. This would have given me mission builder fits.

    I made the following adjustments...

    [MISC_DATA]
    unit_family=2
    category=2
    allegiance=1
    max_group_size=8
    min_speed=140
    cruise_speed=332
    max_speed=397
    min_alt=50
    cruise_alt=4572
    max_alt=5790
    entered_service=6/8/38
    crew=4

    The landing speed was about 73mph, or 118 km/h. Accordingly, I set the minimum speed about 20km/h above that level. The other numbers just reflect a conversion to metric, and the allegiance has been corrected.

    Jamie,

    1) No apologies necessary!

    2) Updating and tweaking is a part of the process. I can tweak the package at any time!

    Drew & Mark,

    many thanks for the help, I'm working on a few fixes just now, hopefully upload later. In the meantime letme know if you find out anything else. All of the issues are from being out of the loop for so long and forgetting stuff.

    Have re-loaded the base pack and the skin packs of Mortons paints that get your other versions working. Hope that this time the tweaks are smaller and easier to fix.

    fingers crossed,

    Jamie

    A question!

    JDT ....I'm getting a object missing notice. It's wep_brl_carrier1

    In the Hampden Base pack Dp are two objects

    In Payload.5 is .....wep_br_carrier1
    In Payload.6 is .....wep_brl_carrier1

    Are these two different items? Or is there only one? wep_br_carrier...because this is the only one in the Objects file.

    Hands up (AGAIN) my fault, I 'late in the day' remembered that the 'brl' was the lite version of the 'br' GC weapons. I thought I'd edited them all, sorry. I'll dig the uploads and swap them out.

    apologies,
    Jamie

    okay, edited dp (Rami, can you work your magic and edit all those that are not TBMk.Is?, let me know and I'll release a patch or update them all.)

    Great Work!

    Outstanding new addition JDTinballs. Just took it for a hop and this is a really nice bird. Many thanks!

    Thank you guys, glad you like her.

    I started this many moons ago, so it's hard to not now look at it thinking it needs a complete overhaul/rework by now, lol. Maybe not!!

    Been working on a paint scheme for this.....

    Attachment 13768

    A Meteorological flight Suitcase, which threw up two things:

    1: There is no exhaust damper and DF blimp model. This was an issue with previous paints, but I let it go. No biggie. We leave the rivet counting to the FSX guys, lol.
    2: The cowl mapping that Morton set up was unsuitable (not a complaint, just the truth), this was the cruncher, something had to be done!! So in my anal search (sounds painful) for a solution I set to work. Then I realised that some animations are maybe assigned to the wrong thing for this model (no DF loop deploy on the blimp models, so was a bit spare), so I set to work on that to. Plus I came across a pic that gave me a better dorsal gunner animation.

    Attachment 13774Attachment 13775

    All very well you might say. And it may be. But some previously released paints would suit this Exhaust damper and DF blimp model better, but the mapping has changed ever-so-slightly, but enough to be noticeable. Do I leave well enough alone or redo a large proportion of the uploads? Or do I just leave as is with the paints on the models thay are already on?

    Input is appreciated as I have no answer just now, especially since I have a couple of other models planned, but they may be separate and some ways off.

    So upshot is I did this....

    Whatya think?

    Jamie

    Jamie,
    I know your dilemma.

    TBH I would leave well alone, and save yourself agro. Would someone really notice it? I doubt it, unless they were a Hampden spotter!

    You've done a great job, don't feel guilty about leaving a minor issue like this.

    Cheers

    The question is, can you live with it like it is?

    Next question, If you can't is it an easy fix?

    Answer those and then run with it. Myself, I think you've already gone above and beyond. So stop fiddling with her dress and let her go out the door Dad.
