Icon9 Response for Shessi - from Just Flight...

    Mark,

I wanted to let you know that the request from Just Flight for the inclusion of their Mosquito for Operation Servant was denied. We can still go ahead though, with the Brunosk model. I showed Alex Ford (Just Flight) what he was missing out on with the new Tirpitz missions and the revised Mosquito Squadron missions.

Bu**er! oh well nice try, as they say if you don't ask you don't get.

Bruno's Mossie is a nice alternative, possibly a bit heavier on the FRs, but ok. The DP will still work. If realy needed I could do some more Highballs.

    Cheers

    Shessi,

It's too bad that the JRL model isn't multi-lod, it would really be a nice alternative.

A Tsetse version would be nice as well.

    Rami,
Another consideration is the very old Alpha Mossie FBVI.

Only 251kb, no LODs and maybe a little too high on FR's, but free and available. Can't easily remove the rocket rails though, as the mdl is too old for MdlMAt to read, and the distance view detail of it is none too good.

Can any of these non-LOD models be modded as in rebuilt in gMax?

    Icon26 Just a suggestion

What about P.H.F. Burnage's Mossie models, are they too old for what you have in mind?

They were CFS2 native models, their fps performance was, still is, good. Here, from this one onwards:

    Hi Allen,
Here ya go. Got it into Gmax, not pretty (as usual!) but a good start. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Cheers

    Stef,

Thanks, I forgot about those! Not only that...I think he's still around and slips into the forums occasionally. He might be willing to collaborate on a refit / overhaul!

    Stef,

Let's flag him down and talk to him first before we race to a conclusion.

Was looking at his Mosquito NFII (nfiigen.zip) from simviation. Already multi LOD but little polygon heavy on the 2 top LODs.
