Everybody from New England knows about Lake Winnepisaukee. If you travel to it by Route 11 you can't miss Laconia Airport. Jim Cook has done a great job in modeling the airport and has included the runway extension to allow jets.
Now I find it an ideal place to fly to from Plum Island. Takes maybe a half hour and the scenery is good. Head north to Pease then pull a left turn and head NNE to KDAW Skyhaven airport. You can pick up Route 11 at Rochester. Follow it along until you come to Alton Bay. The only FAA sanctioned airport that exists when the ice is frozen. A few miles beyond that is Laconia, Just a beautiful airport.
I thank you Jim, where ever you are. I tried to e-mail you but your address was wrong.
