Caproni Ca 101 D2 conversion from FS 2004

    Hello everybody

Did anybody succeed in converting F.Giuli's Caproni Ca 101 D2 for CFS2?

I converted the mdl file with MDLConverter, but when I start the game, my aircraft starts bouncing and jumping in the air until she explodes!!!
When I get this kind of problem, changing the air file usualy is the good solution.
I changed the contact points in the aircraft.cfg file, changed the air file, but got no success.

Has anybody a solution to that problem?

    Hi François,

It obviously is another setting in the aircraft.cfg, so try changing the .cfg to the ac that you took the airfile from, after changing the aircraft header details.

This will cure it, and then adjust the contact points etc to match the model.

    Cheers

    Here you go....

I used the Fs9 Ford Tri-motor cfg and airfiles, Airwrenched it for CFS2. I've added a better 2 blade prop tex and the corrected DP.

    Salut!

I did it a long time ago, Shessi, for a Payakan plane.

This is Guili's Ca101D2 civillian aircraft not a military Ca 133 aircraft.

Hi Shessi, and thank yoy for the informations.

For your information, this aircraft is a military version of an Italian passenger aircraft.

    From Wikipedia:
The D2 version, was produced replacing the motors with three more powerful Alfa Romeo D.2 motors. In operations in Eritrea, they guaranteed good performance in the tropics. From the opening of the hostilities in East Africa in 1935, various versions of the Ca. 101 came used for all the conflict, carrying out tactical support missions for the infantry and bombing. The D.2 version, in particular, operated with the 14th Bomber Flight "Hic Sunt Leones" and 15th Bomber Flight "La Disperata" of the 4th Bombers Squadron.

    Hi François,
I appreciate the details about this aircraft.

It is just that Peperez did the files for Payakan's Ca 133, and not this aircraft, which is Guili's Ca 101.

Hope you find the previously attached files helpful.

    Cheers

I just finished the Ca.101D2 conversion

I'm testing it. I also redone the Caproni Ca.133 airfile. Did anyone knows how we can add a VC in it?

    Cheers

    Pepe,
I have hex edited the mdl and you now have the VC.

Attached is the new mdl and adjusted aircraft.cfg for the new viewpoint.
