    BH,

very possibly, you, Allen and mark may be invaluable and greatly appreciated. I'll get back to the torp tomorrow and shoot out a request for help ASAP. I need to tweak the exhaust damper model and do a bit more work on the torp fuselage model to. Poly pushing was doing my nut in, so relieved the pressure with the old paint brush.

When the time comes, I'll be asking for help with bells on, lol. Many thanks.

    Rami and Brian,

many thanks, from the painting point of view, especially from a master like Brian. Rami, don't feel left out, you are the SINGLE reason I returned to this after severely losing my mojo, this ones for you bro. (I might need help a bit, lol)

    Fair enough!

Rest assured the prop discs are the last parts in the model though.

    Jamie,

    !

Thank Goodness they are details so small that can only be noticed at a very close distance. It's sure not like some other models, where half of the fuselage or the wings cover the prop disc!

BTW.: Splendid repaints you got there! Did I send you my newest prop discs to include in the pack?

    Cheers!

Wartime 83 Sqn codes were 'OL-'. Research by others point to L4057 being 'C'.

Spent time finishing some minor mapping issues on the B.Mk.I, need to do the same on the other two models, plus tweak the ass-end of the TBMk.I. Will upload an open beta model soonish as dev time permits.

Working on the dp files. The current dp from the original conversion needs it's hit points altered as the wings, tail, etc were so strong that you would always shoot the plane down before it shed any parts, adjustments under way.

Other things happening in the background also to vary the work, lol.

    Jamie

PS. I fitted my Hampden with a 40mm and a 75mm cannon instead of the nose MGs for testing, I only have the Hampdens in this install, so I went a dogfighting with one, lol. It was said to have almost fighter like abilities, but remember this could date back to 1936 when the current fighters were Biplanes in front line Sqns. But she handles well and is quite agile. All geometry has been painstakingly inputed by ACM, areas, placement the whole caboodle.

PPS. pics above of left & right wings and tail breaking, my aim isn't good enough for the nose or engines!!

There is a nightfighter ace whose first 'kill' was whilst he was flying Hampdens with 408 Squadron, so she was fairly agile in a odd way.
He received a DFC for the action.
Of course, I made a model of it:

Yeah Rami, still on Vista, got a pretty meaty rig when Vista was current, quad core, blah, blah. Have kept it going with increased RAM, more HD's and a 2GB vid card, still serves me very well. Watch the bu99er die now, lol.

Been tweaking the other models for mapping and fixing the ass-end of the tube carrier. Other stuff too. Need to get back to this Torp model and the dp work. More texs, and maybe some other stuff, but that might be later.

Torpedo done!! Thanks guys for the offer of help, all of you, but I needed to see it through myself, best way to learn and all. Turned out to be a little glitch caused by importing into FSDS from ModConX, it made the main model start at 6:100, which is not visible in FSDS on the main model unless you cheat the system into thinking it's an LOD!! Set it to 0:100 and all is well from first tests.

Onwards we go. Starting to prepare the readme, etc, my favourite part!!

Thanks Allen, had to try and work it out myself so I understood why, asI said, best way to learn. Everyones help was instrumental in getting it compiled and working, the fault lay in the decompiled model.

Release has been delayed by over-active children stopping me writing the docs, sorry.

Since I'm stuck with the trial verson of FSDS I don't know too much but I had the idea that it was a LOD labeling prob.

    Jamie
