Icon22 A new project : an "ultralight" for the Regia Aeronautica

    Hi Friends,
While Cant.Z.506 proceeding well (I hope I'll be able to upload the first of the two packages before 31 October), I "rescued" from my archive an old project : the "ultralight" Regia Aeronautica's A.V.I.A. FL.3, a little, but very interesting aircraft.
With its emptyweight of ONLY 300Kg with installed powerplant of ONLY 60CV, it was, during the period 1936/1945, used as RA's basic trainer. The FL.3 survived the WWII and was used by many Italian Aeroclub's flying school, I learned to fly with this little plane when I was young (1974)....

Looks great Manuele and what an interesting choice. It looks like a mix from the Bücker Bu-131 and a Piper J-3.

    Cheers,

Very nice aircraft, Manuele. I never paid much attention to Italian planes until I saw your work. Now I'm hooked.
