    Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix 2014.

    What a great day is was yesterday! Despite the weather (Very windy, a few small showers and one HUGE one at the start of the day..) is was a fantastic show, with eleven hours of non-stop racing action in thirteen categories and a block full of demonstrations.     Porsche 904/6 with former Porsche works driver jurgen Barth at the wheel, and a Lotus 11:



    Two Cobra's:



    This Cobra had WTCC driver Tom Coronel as one of the drivers, the other car of this team had F1 Sauber Test driver Giedo van der Garde.

    Great stuff here Ferry!
    I started following racing around 1977 so a few of those cars bring back some pleasant memories (outside of seen some of the "Speed Racer" cars there too)

    American muscle cars are usually faster on the straights, the euro cars beat them in the corners so they are very well matched. Will have to wait for the final results to see who won!

    Fun story: During the 1966 Dutch GP some people commented that Jack Brabham was already too old to be an F1 driver (He was forty at that time) so when he walked to his car on the grid he used a cane and wore a long fake beard (He won that race from pole position btw):
