    Kurt,

    Wow...where to begin!?

Many thanks for your efforts on this. Like the Team Daedalus Fw-190s, I will make sure to include these new models in all my Late ETO and Mediterranean projects.

I'm thrilled that you chose to upgrade these models. The favorite "experten" ride was long overdue for an overhaul.

    Kurt,

I kept the PR "jabo" .dp files, but now with these new models, they look a little goofy. It looks like some .dp editing lies in my future...

P.S. - Kudos on the new flight models....you can make a banked turn with full-up elevator without feeling like you're riding a porpoise!

    Kurt,

Fantastic work, I have no other words.

A suggestion: why you don't replace the original pilot, IHMO not so good, with your new Luftwaffe pilot??

    Cheers,

    Gius

    Gius,

That would involve one of two paths...

    1) Break down the model to its original source files, and recompile it without the pilot, then add it in the .dp

    2) "Alpha Out" the pilot by painting him invisible, then adding the .dp German pilots in its place.

Either way, that's a lot of work.

    3. replace the pilot in the source files and recompile. I've never liked DP pilots. They are so unreliable.

although it would be ALOT of work.

I looked at doing that. Unfortunately the gloves and boots of the pilot are not textured, they can't be removed with the alpha so I can't replace the pilot with a dp pilot.
    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

I think the pilot could be removed by editing with SCASM but that is way beyond my knowledge unfortunately.

    Would look good though........

This a a quick rip, mod and insert, (inserting the Luft pilot I did as a bgl, now as a part of the ac mdl) firstly with original summer clothes and then with CK's excellent tex mod.

I agree with BH, DP crew are not ideal. See pics below, firstly replacing the pilot as part of the mdl; then trying to alpha out the original texs and DP'ing the pilot, not good at all!; and finally I have enlarged the pilot bgl to cover up the original pilot, again not that good and the pilot starts to look out of scale.

Even with PR's original pilot these are excellent updates, a good looking set of 109's..

    Captain Kurt,
    I echo Kelti on these!

Once I get my big PC again I will work on updating the Tuskegee Airmen with appropriate models.

Shessi that is what I was thinking.

I think there is a warp bug with the DP pilots as well. don't they vanish if you warp? I can't remember.

They do look fantastic as is.

    So no complaints here.

I don't thing I get close enough to see them anyways. Unless I'm flying that is.

I think I need to do some BOB and Euro installs. I want to fly these againt some Spitfires.

You know I just realised that they are Paul's models. It would seem that they will remain as is.

i've already alpha-out the PR pilot whit the 109s textured by Morton, i'll post you the concerned textures in a next post...
in facts, i've used the MW pilot with good results, in my humble opinion...
    Best Luck to all,
    Gius
