    Kurt,

    Wow...where to begin!?

    Many thanks for your efforts on this. Like the Team Daedalus Fw-190s, I will make sure to include these new models in all my Late ETO and Mediterranean projects.

    I'm thrilled that you chose to upgrade these models. The favorite "experten" ride was long overdue for an overhaul.

    Kurt,

    I kept the PR "jabo" .dp files, but now with these new models, they look a little goofy. It looks like some .dp editing lies in my future...

    P.S. - Kudos on the new flight models....you can make a banked turn with full-up elevator without feeling like you're riding a porpoise!

    Thanks Captain Kurt!

    Perhaps in my retirement, (oops, I am now a full-time university student finishing up my masters), I can begin to learn how to do paint jobs, airfields, and buildings in my spare time.........

    I've got a Problem!

    These are great looking aircraft CK, but I must be holding my mouth wrong, cause I can't land 'em without an exploding airplane in the middle of the runway. I tried two different versions so far. The Bf109G-2 trop 6-JG53 and the Bf109G-4 trop 7-JG53. Both started and took off fine. Went around and came in for a nice easy landing....and bang. I'm dead. I figured maybe my airspeed was too high so I tried taking off and as soon as the wheels were off the ground, I cut the throttle and let it drift back down, but it still exploded. I did this several times with the same result. I have an older version of Paul ReBuffat's Bf109 F2 and it lands just fine. Can anyone think what is causing my AC to explode?

    Worthless,

    It's not you. I noticed the same problem, but wanted conformation from another user so that I didn't think I was going bezerk.

    I have to laugh. So, it's ok for me to go bezerk, huh. That's ok, and glad to have a confirmation. Thanks R.

    Saboteurs !! Round up the usual suspects.

    Actually, that would tell me that a scrape point is out of place and is too low.. I'll check it today as time permits.

    Icon9 Outdated prop discs

    A good day to everybody!

    I just wanted to bring to everybody's attention that, after opening all of Captain Kurt's Bf109G-series packs for my archiving purposes, I noticed not all of them contain my very recent update of Rebuffat's Bf109 blurred prop discs.

    Some of them, now I don't remember which is which, have in their \texture folder a version of my textures dating back to 08/2005. I feel uncomfortable to take credit for those textures, since they belong to my very first experiments in prop disc texturing, when I didn't even know how to calculate the exact size of the disc contained in the *.mdl file.

    Fortunately, Captain Kurt did include my latest WIP work in the majority of his beautiful packs, which I haven't uploaded yet, but I choose to send him at the beginning of last August, to complement the fabulous repaints he was still working on at the time. The difference between them can be easily spotted as my latest work features richer details, on top of being accurately centered, with the three-blade shape spacing exactly drawn according to an isosceles triangle geometrical configuration. That is, a triangle with three even sides, placing the angles at exactly 60o degs from each other. I hate to admit it, but I discovered how to do it on my pc only few months ago. Before then, I relied on my eyesight only to determine the shape of a 3-blade propeller, with obvious lack of precision. My new 3-blade prop textures are all geometrically precise, this why I feel funny taking credit for something I did 9 years ago.....

    So, my suggestion to everybody is as follows:

    1. just scan the files included in each aircraft \texture folder and check the date of each "prop.bmp" file;
    2. discard the ones dated August 2005;
    3. replace them instead with the files dated the beginning of last August, 2014.
    4. Done!

    All of these aircrafts share the same blurred prop disc texture file, so you can just copy over the newer files on the old ones with no problem. I hope you will all forgive my past inaccuracies, you can appreciate, from the newer prop textures Captain Kurt kindly included in his repaints, what's in store for the near future!

    Cheers!
