Repaint Request: The plane I soloed in...

I'm wondering if one of our many accomplished repainters here would be willing to take on the Carenado Cessna 152 (for FSX) to repaint it in the livery of the aircraft I conducted my initial flight training and solo flight in, years ago.

This is the aircraft. (Note that, yes the flag is extremely faded, and that it is "reversed" on the right side of the aircraft so it looks like it is flying in the wind.)

I tried it myself a couple years ago but the lines and curves were causing me issues, and I wasn't happy with my rendition.

Would anyone be willing to paint this one? Just asking for the exterior, though if someone is willing to do the interior as well (if that's even possible) the seats and panel trim are blue as well.

Sorry I cannot be of help with that one.
    I don't have the Carenado Cessna 152 .
I can do it if you have the A2A C172.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll see if there are any volunteers who have the 152, as that's closer to what the real thing is (a Cessna 150).

Reminds me of my own soloing, was a 150 though. I remember the dreaded landing attempts in crosswind conditions in the little thing, where one used to be thrown off by a strong leeward vortex coming from a large tree on the airfield ground, just about at touchdown of course. That sent you purpoising all over the field, much to the delight of the happy onlookers (they knew...) :-)

    Cheers,
    Mark

If you want a Cessna 150 rather than 152 to repaintthere's one here: http://frenchvfr.free.fr/download.php?lng=en It is the same site as the 150-K tailwheel version.
Rats - why won't anything work properly first time?

I have the Carenado 152 and have made one repaint of the plane I soloed in SX-AKL. The big problem with the Carenado textures is that they are mirrored and they provide only a small space for the registration. See below how smaller I had to make the registration in order to fit it to the space available:

In your case the registration is even bigger and will have to be shrunk to fit. It will not look nice.

If however you would still like it done I can give it a try. Let me know.

    Dimus,

Thanks for the reminder regarding the registration issue. I completely forgot about that factor. If you do not believe it is feasible or worthwhile due to this, feel free to pass on this effort. I'll leave it up to you as to whether or not you still want to attempt a rendition of it with the smaller registration.

    Corvette,

I'm personally not a fan of port-overs, but as you seem to be on your way with a non-Carenado model, I'll let you decide if you wish to finish your rendition. I'll take look at the version you provided a link to in the near future.

    Thanks everyone.

Sean, you may like to know that the freeware C-150 mentioned in this thread has been recently (so to say, more precisely at the beginning of 2014) released as native FSX aircraft.

I have the 'Just Flight Flying Club C-152'. From what I remember it flies good, haven't flown it for awhile. And I don't know if it came with a paint kit. Might want to check out the JF site and see if it's still available.

There's a freeware version of the Just Flight 152 here: http://www.justflight.com/microsoft-c152 It's not at all bad, but I don't think there's a paintkit for it.

Free free to post shots and/or upload the livery. I'm sure it looks great despite not being the Carenado model as requested.
