Is anyone else a fan of this series? I like it because it seems to be nearly free of political bias. I also think the British do fantastic documentaries, they tend to be more thorough and balanced than American ones.

Yep! A very well done series. I've got 3 of the DVD's and an 3 old VHS of the one on Leyte Gulf, Russia and The North Atlantic. All redundant now that they can all be viewed on Youtube.

Definitely a terrific series. I've been downloading and archiving it for the last week or so. These are long programs but very in depth and well researched, methinks. Fascinating take on things, for sure.

You can say that again. Also less commercials, less faked dramatizations, more highbrow, I could go on.

I was but wish it with Spanish doubling (In fact there is a SP version) or an American accent (like movies that I watch daily, If it has an American accent I understand 95 percent but native English 75%). I like also the NatGeo WW2 or the History dogfight series.
