Yesterday, I went to Trenton, ME and the Hancock County Airport (KBHB) to see Sentimental Journey arrive, and arrive it did. The advantage of being in this small airport is that I was able to get within 100 yds of the runway as she did a fly by at 500 ft, and then landed. This was courtesy of a small plane-ride company who were not only kind enough to let us park, but provided escort beyond the fence! Later, I was able to spend as much time as I had (not wanted to) crawling around and inside her. What a day.
The photos I took I haven't gone through yet, but the Bangor Daily News did this:

For those of you who have seen one of these birds in flight, you know what it's like; for those of you who haven't, I can only recommend it to you as an experience you'll never forget, and an opportunity to get some idea of what the aircrews had to deal with in terms of air travel comforts(!) while also being shot at. This was my first time being inside one, and I can say that I have more room in my 32-foot sail boat than the crew had in this plane!
