    C-47v2 VC eyepoint question

    Am continuing to love Manfred's C-47v2 and am spending a huge amount of time with it. One quick question - is it just me, or is the eyepoint for the pilot view in the VC a little far back? When I turn my head left (using TrackIR), I find that I'm looking at the bulkhead, and need to lean forward to see out the side window. With TrackIR, it's obviously not hard to lean forward, but I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar reaction and tried to shift the eyepoint forward. If so, what settings worked for you? It may be that the eyepoint is accurate - it's been a few years since I've been in a C-47 cockpit (airshow visit to Whiskey 7), and can't recall exactly where the seat was relative to the window. So if I'm wrong, please advise. But if you had the same reaction, please advise what your fix was. Thanks!

    I don't have Track IR but a friend of mine does and between us we worked these out,
    which suit him.

    eyepoint = -6.6, -1.2, 2.9 //-6.8, -1.2, 3.2

    Give them a try if you wish, originals to the right of the //

    Regards,
    Nick.

    Thanks for the guidance. In my case I had to shift even a little farther forward - to -6.0. Individual system differences, I guess. But it's a much more enjoyable cockpit to work in now - a good experience made just that much better. Thank again!

    Yes indeed, now I need a program to remind me where I keep all these little tip-ettes. I need discipline! There are files all over the place.

    Yes, thanks for that (and to Roger for the shorthand version). Had to google to get the references but thanks to your posts I've now got it stickied - literally - a post-it on my monitor. Most appreciated!

    lol, Alan, that's exactly what I did as well about 6 months ago when I got tired of going to my notes in a file folder on my desktop, how's that for lazy, lol

    At least MS was consistent on something. Same set up for adding/modifying lighting, smoke, etc. I'm sure it applies elsewhere but that is as far a I go with tweaks.

    it means something, but I just can't remember what
