Thread: FSX native Fokker D XXI RELEASED

    Hi Dave,

Just looked into my source files, the gunsight is not in the LOD100. So it shouldn't show up in your sim. I could do an export and send the .mdl to you.

Just to be sure: if you want, could you make a shot of the airplane, focusing on the tail section?

Ok, thanks, that's a confirm you've got the V2.00 mdl file the wires at the empannage are thicker in comparison to the V1.00 model.

Looked up my model in ModelConverterX and yes, the gunsight shows in LOD100. I'll be upon it!

    Cheers

I'm reading a book he wrote, about his war years.

Ah! I did a quick search for good photographs yesterday, but couldn't find them soon enough. Might do a better search...

Thanks to Marcin of WebSimConnect, I got the WebSimGauge working, while testing it on my Danish D.21. In fact, the WSG is an internet browser in FSX. So, in fact I could open any html page or for example my blog to read in FSX.
In this screenie, the map example is used. I'm planning to use WSG in my T.5.
This moving map is much better than a modern GPS in an old plane.

    Cheers!

    Cees,

Bram van de Stok indeed flew the 234 on the 10th of May 1940, but the Dutch pilots didn't have their own aircraft. On his first flight on May 10th van der Stok (03:00hr) flew the 233, with which he shot one Bf109 (and most probably damaged an other). On his second (06:15hr) and third flight (12:00hr) he flew the 234. However this aircraft was hit by German fighters during take off and caught fire. There is a picture taken by van der Stok from his burning aircraft at de Kooy. This is the only picture I could find from the 234. The 233 was damaged beyond repair during an attack around 08:00 and was used for spare parts.

After the 10th of May van der Stok flew several aircraft including the 221, the 235 and the 240.

    Daan,

Nice gadget, this opens some interesting possibilities!

    Cheers,
    Huub

I'll surely take the WebSimData map along for the Danish D.21 release.
I've been working on the finishing touch for the Danish version. There's still a lot of work left, but I'm working towards an early beta for this model.

The pilot's office. Not much changed wrt the former posts, but in the details... I modified the rudder pedal textures and did some programming for the fuel level gauge. It has two scales (lower right gauge on the middle main panel), one for Tail on ground, another for Normal flight. Works fine now (it's a bit dependent on Plane AoA, seems logical to me...)

I've primarily been working on the colors. I concluded from the Dutch D.21 model that some colors combine really bad, so I started to play with the shades and everything feels a bit better now.

And the functional winding watch, with the WebSimData map.
