    Hi everybody,

There's something to celebrate today, so I want to share a series of shots with you. For those that don't see why these specific shots: these are historical shots, reproduced in FSX. After entering the Dutch Air Corps, D.21s made a publicity flight, while photos were being made. Using the known locations, I was able to make FSX shots here. Sadly, I've only one D.21 at a time (one airframe too) and no other birds. So 213 feels a little lonely here. I'm sorry that I can't post the original pictures here, I guess this will have copyright problems.

One photograph shows the first four D.21s (212-215) at the apron at Schiphol, which is currently Schiphol-East.

A second picture shows 213 and 215 with T.5 852 in formation above Fortress Aalsmeer. This fortress is today used by CRASH museum, and the only remaining wreckage of the Dutch D.21s, 229, is exhibited there. The fortress is to be found in the far left, middle (greenish area).

And two other shots, showing 212, 213 and 215 in close formation.

Thank you Cees, great that you appreciate it! How's the transition to FSX coming along?

Well, today I posted on my blog a kind of 'roadmap' which illustrates the development processes for the upcoming period. First, I want to finish the Dutch D.21. Almost there. After that, I'll get working on updates. In the meanwhile, I'll be working on the Danish version. But I'm a little 'D.21-tired' (after one-and-a-half year!) now, so I want to take it easy on the Danish bird (it will come, but not hasty). I'll also start a new project mid-November, which I call Project X for the time being. Some know what I mean, others don't It will be a challenging and interesting project!

    Hope this informs you!

I tried a quick solution for the trees and the piece of grounpoly that's missing, but alas....no cigar as yet. Perhaps I'll have to do a comlete overhaul.....

I started with ADE 1.6 today. Man did I learn a lot today! First I converted some api's I still had to mdl's (ModelconverterX). The mdl's were thereafter converted to a library (LibraryCreatorXML). I placed the buildings in ADE, after I changed the Bmp's to DDS textures (DXTBmp). I learned to place poly's, lines and excludes in ADE 1.6.
    This is the result:

I'm pretty confident I can redo Bergen within a reasonable amount of time.....(not to mention De Kooy etc. etc..........)

Sounds good Cees! I still fly from your airfields in GW3, but with this D-XXI I would love to have them in FSX as well.

    Cheers,
    Huub

Still some details to do, but I'm getting there. ADE 1.6 is a magnificent and powerful tool which makes scenerydesign easy.

Oh well, we'll see! Is that the creek around the field? If so, I guess there won't be problems.

Was thinking of that also LOL! How soon could we do that? I need to implement the newest features (as tested on the 'late' bird) into the 'early' D.21, write the manual, let it pass a beta and then release. So official release could take time from my side... But another beta (nr. 5 ) could be possible...

    Hi Cees, got the files!

This is the first overview of the field. Everything seems to be the same as the FS9 version I used before, except of the fact that ground is oké. Is it correct that it appears like this or do I need to play with some files also?

Ground is OK, as I said, so the airfield level and scenery level are the same (if you understand me )

Autogen appears not to be excluded.

The road at the northern side of the field (in your scenery), curves different than in the NL2000 photoscenery. It is visible in the upper left of the picture.

I'll try to get a beta packed for you. It will be the same as Ferry, Marcel and Huub have at the moment, I can't find time to pack the up-to-date one. Mostly the same, only slight changes.

Looks good. I'm missing the groundpoly. Instead I see Farmland as it is now. I can live with that. But good to see I got the placing okay!
And now I want a quick spin with the Fokker before I go to rehearsal.

    Cees

Edit: Looks great, flies great. A work of art I dreamed about having in FS. Superb Daan!
