Looking very nice. Too bad it's only for FS-9

Judging by this statement in the download description file:

I would say it's the same model. I downloaded this bird about 4 weeks ago, I cleaned up the textures a bit and added my own smoke effects too. I 'replaced' the radio gauge with the one from Vlad's AN-12BK and it worked. The visual model is excellent, definitely worth keeping and a little effort got things working just fine.

The Il-76/78 may now be a brand-new file but Vladimir did release his An-2 2014 edition today.

Would someone be so kind to post a link to avsim.ru? I thought I had it on my FS Favorites list but it seems to have migrated elsewhere.

    Thanks

BB, how did you clean up the textures? Change some to DXT3, I guess from 32bit, I guess? Also, what is the fix for the smoke? Interestingly I had no problems with the radio gauge that came with last month's IL76 - it's just I couldn't get the autopilot to work! I may wind up swapping out the new one's cockpit, good as it is, for an older one with a working autopilot.

What sounds are you guys using, we used to get quite a few 76's flying into Manston in Kent back in the 1990's and they were Loud, seriously loud. At the moment im using the sound-set from the Alphasim B-47, works for me but i'd be intrested in other options,
    cheers ian

Ian, I use the Soloviev D-30KP sound set from Mike Maarse to get the effect.

Search Avsim Russia for Soloviev D-30KP in the FS2004 Sounds Section.

Unfortunately, a lot of noise in the cockpit !
    Conversely, extremely quieter engine
