No.55 Sqn resumed operations in North Africa in September 1942 flying Blenheim MkIV aircraft. As they were primarily tasked with anti-shipping operations, they tried out a number of paint schemes which would be more appropriate than the standard Midstone/Dark Earth combination. This aircraft is finished in Dark Mediterranean Blue and Light Mediterranean Blue over its standard Azure Blue undersides.
The original aircraft was fitted with the later undernose box-type twin-gun assembly, which we have not been able to model.
