    Rara-Avis Sim For FSX & P3D

Hello there everyone, many of you know myself as the main creator at classicwings.net......

Well as the collaboration between myself and Matthew Ivey went so well on the Sopwith Camel we decided to join forces and make a new name in the flightsim world. So I proudly announce our new name "Rara-Avis Sim" which is Latin for rare bird, don't worry the freeware will still be available through Classic Wings, this is just our payware name

Our first product will be the Sopwith Pup, we have been working hard to get the bugs ironed out and get it into Beta which was this week, and of course the flight model is done by Bernt Stolle

    We decided that we would release them in three different packs;

    Standard production (base pack)
    Early Naval Pups (addon pack)
    Colorful trainers (addon pack)

The price has been discussed and believe me its a steel ! LOL. I'm not sure how much else I can reveal at this time as were talking to the publishers tomorrow.....

I'm going to shut up now as I'm not to good with words I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Knowing the quality of your stuff, I'm happy to see you and your mates creating this payware company. I hope you will manage to earn some well deserved money and that it will help you all providing us even more "never modelled" planes !
Your announcement about freeware models is a good news too.

PS: the Pup will be a must-buy for me.
I'm just wondering if you guys have any plan to include some VRS TacPac canons inside, for multiplayer dogfights ?

good luck with the company, and your first one looks like a winner!
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.

Great airplane as far as the external model is concerned! I think the moving pilot scarf is a great feature of the external model. It adds realism to the show.
Good luck with your company! :ernae:

Matt, Craig, I was looking forward to this release. The Sopwith Pup is a great piece of history to bring to FSX and P3D as native. Beautiful.
I'll be up front as I was expecting it to be another freeware gem. But, it is what it is. Your joint efforts I feel will go well I think and I wish you both all the best in the venture together.

    Good Luck

    Thanks Ted... another great video.

Sorry you are disappointed OleBoy that The Pup is Payware and not freeware as the Camel was. We did say from the start in our development thread that the Pup would probably have to be Payware. The fact is to make high quality FSX native models takes an awful lot of time... we both have day jobs and families that need our time and its just difficult to justify spending that amount of time away from them with no return. We may still do some freeware in fact we have something on the go at present that may be, but we will make that call as and when... I'm sure you can understand that.
