An example of just how brutal the eastern front, and WWII were in general.
...I think its funny sometime, I enjoy researching the history and the aircraft from that era. I even enjoy jumping in fighters and blasting at 'target's' with out a second thought. But when I play a WWII shooter and a ground grunt, I don't enjoy it quite as much. maybe its because when I shooting down planes I rationalize it as just shooting at machines, and not men...
Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me...
Yep...
Man.. thats gruesome..
As Herr Count von Stauffenberg predicted, the brutality hitler did to Russia did indeed come back on them...

The march of the Red Army through that region of Germany was marked by such incidents, fuelled by the atrocities against the Russians ........ what goes round comes round.

If the truth be known, I imagine there's more than that one still not found. War is hell as they say and after there's much not accounted for. At least there'll be closure for these lost souls missing for all these years. God bless them all.
