    USS North Carolina Released

    Hey Guys and Gals

I have just released my USS North Carolina Battleship to SOH & FlightSim.com
    I hope you enjoy.

PS...Just uploaded it to my site also. It's broken up into 5 parts due to it's size. http://topflightsimulation.yolasite.com/

Thank you, NCGent (from Greenville, NC).

    Looking forward to this!

My brother lives between Greenville and Kinston and my sister in Jacksonville. I lived near Jacksonville for a couple of years as a kid myself. I remember going to Wilmington to see the North Carolina when I was little.

Thanks NCGent, a much needed ship for my ww2 fleet over on the dark side. (FSX) She looks right at home alongside
Big E cruising up the slot. :salute:

Thanks, If you look at the 2nd pic, just in front of North Carolina you can see the fantail of her bigger (yet younger)
sister Missouri. Although not the right BB for the Solomon's campain (she filled the void) I now have a North Carolina
class BB that was there. Now to get her in dry dock (paintshop) to paint her up as her sister in class Washington.

If your thinking of US ww2 ships still around today as museums, i can think of a few that would fit the part.

Uss Alabama, USS Massachusetts (Big Mamie) (South Dakota class)
USS Cassin Young, USS Kidd, USS The Sullivans (Fletcher class)
USS Little Rock (Cleveland class light cruiser)
and of course USS Arizona (Pennsylvania class) any one of her sisters in mid to late war look.

That would be the Vertigo Studios SBD for fsx. All the models you see in the pics are fsx (except for North Carolina).

You know what....I think the Arizona should sail again. I may work on a carrier also.

Arizona or any of the other ships mentioned would make a tremendously welcome addition to our sims.

Meanwhile, some WIP 'friendlies' are busy admiring the USS Carolina.

The detailing is superb - I particularly enjoyed the pair of floatplanes at the ready, astern.

That would be great, if you do a carrier as Duckie posted, an Essex class with a harded flight deck is really needed for fs9.
Here are a few more pics of NC with a friend from the other side of the pond, HMS King George V.

Just a WIP. Here is North Carolina and her sister Washington heading up the slot to join up with the
    Gray Ghost (Big E).

King George V is FSX payware from Delta Sims, and Washington is a repaint of North Carolina
(they are sisters in class) that I am doing for my personal use. All pics from me are taken in
FSX where you can setup Carrier tracks or use AICarriers to have moving fleets and do carrier ops.
These are taking using the Solomons1943 scenery done by one of are own here at SOH
    Roger-wilco-66.

    Hello Nigel,

Whose aircraft is this one? Work in progress? Great textures!
