    Cool Aircraft Manuals

I think it's time that I start contributing with something important besides videos.

I'm going to start making manuals for any add-on aircraft that do NOT have manuals you can bring up while in the game... nothing frustrates me more than to bring up my checklist to see what my engine's warming temp should be... only to find a blank piece of paper.

Can someone help me find some websites or whatever that will :help: me find some manuals for aircraft? I'd really appreciate it!

I say this because I'm trying to fly my Ki-44 as accurately as possible, and there is no manual, so I don't know if I've overheated or exceeded limits or whatnot...

    DD,

Great idea on the manuals. I often research a plane's flight characteristics and technical details. It makes flying the plane more fun when you understand its capabilities and vices. I usually just go to the library and make a search there. If the library doesn't have the book on location, I'll order the book through an inter-library loan. It costs nothing and the book is usually transferred in less than a week.

I just ordered this book from Amazon. It is the old Ospery series republished. While they lack some in technical detail, they give a good overall view of the subject and have many good color plates of the different liveries.
    Keep your airspeed up,

I found this, and in conjunction with Jags suggestion, I hope it helps.

    http://yellowairplane.com/Books_n_Vi...s_manuals.html

    http://www.wingsandthingsmilitaria.c...nd_manuals.htm

Also here is a list of ALL aircraft used in WW2

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...f_World_War_II

    Found this site for the B-24;

Also here is the home addy for a site where you can FREELY look at the manuals for the birds sought. A lot of info on that page so read it carefully and have fun cruising the links.

    Sorry dauntless driver

Sorry DD, wrote Obio instead of your nom-de-guerre. NOTE TO SELF; Don't type from two screens . Confuses the brain.

    Hey Fibber,

I toured the website, but they aren't letting me view the whole pilot's manual for the planes... just some charts... which I can use, BUT... ah well... still searching! :typing:

Thanks Jagd, my plan is to kind of do what CFS-2 did with the original planes... I don't wanna get bogged down in the details... I'll put the essentials only on the checklist...

    Dd

That is a little weird because I was able to watch the videos and read some of the specs on the planes myself. What planes/material are you looking for and maybe I can download and forward to you.

For anyone interested in FREE pilots's notes, flight operating manuals and the like in pdf, here are a few websites worth visiting.

    1/
    http://aafcollection.info/
    Click "View Items" and enjoy
    Personally I recommend
    Pilot Training Manual for P-38
    Pilots' Information File
    Navigators' Information File

    2/
    http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/oth...-systems-tech/
MANUALS GALORE!!! And I mean it
    BTW search the entire section
    http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/technical/
as there are lots of other goodies, e.g. performance/tactical trial reports etc.

    3/
    http://www.tailwheel.nl/
Use the menu bar and download whatever you want

    4/
    http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/
I think Blue Devil has already recommended this website. If you haven't been there before, shame on you
