How to clear up the cockpit

I've seen this a time or two and want to know how to fix it. I used this panel for a 757-200 but when it first loads, every pop up is shown. After closing them all the panel looks like it should be. How can I stop these pop ups from auto-loading? Below is the cfg if it helps. Many thanks.

The key is the line "visible=1." Change that to "visible=0" and they will stop autoloading open, but will be available when you want them.

Also, if you go into the various [VCockpit] section and change this line

pixel_size=512,512

to this

pixel_size=1024,1024

it will give you sharper VC gauges.

I do this with all of my planes.....max gauge clarity with no frame rate hits.

Thanks, I'll try those one at a time. I noticed those line entries and set all but the first to 0 while fiddling and the game crashed


I set one to 0 and same game crash.

The first one (00) needs to be visible (=1) for the panel to show when you select "cockpit" view. Did you edit the config while the sim was running? Try it before starting the sim and see if you get the same problem. Some designers think they know better than you what you need to see, maybe there's a gauge in one of the windows that needs to load for tha panel to work. Just a WAG.

They may all be popping up because they contain gauges that need to load (or FS crashes). If so, too bad the author didn't know that VC gauges load all the time and could have included the required gauge code into one or a few VC gauges so this popping up wasn't required.
