    Saw the news & went to simmarket to buy the upgrade. Downloaded and installed, FSX is up and about to give it a test. Will post back later with a report.

    Please see if the autothrottle works for you. I can't get it engaged. Bob.

    I just ran my test of the F-35B and all I can say is:WOW! That is without any exception the best flightsim STOVL simulation I've flown in any sim platform. Once you get your controller set up for it(or use keys if you wish), it's just super simple to operate and super stable. Now, I going to fly the C model off the Nimitz & see how well that works. This is a super value at a super price(a must have)!.

    Dino, thanks for your work & dedication but most of all, thanks for your kind generosity....

    Buying now

    edit: Neat plane, nice HUD, I like the touchscreen operation... The STOVL stuff is awesome! Well done for the guy who did that! The controls are really intuitive and it only took me about 1 min to figure out ctol/stovl/hover modes...

    The only niggle I've got is when I turn terrain mode on I'm taking a massive fps hit... about 50% loss.

    Well, I though I was supposed to give my authorization to SimMarket to proceed - but they put it online too early. Honestly, I wanted to make a couple of changes to the webpage before releasing it... For one, calling the project "The Real F-35" is not an idea of mine, and I will ask SimMarket to change it. I believe it is a reasonable simulation - but it is far from being as "real" as other addons.

    The product has still some bugs - sorry for that - but I hope that the quality level is acceptable for most users as the price - if my calculations are right, this will be just enough to cover the development costs. Again, this is not a job for me, nor I do not want it to be - still, I hope the F-35 is "professional" enough for most users to enjoy flying it. Have fun!

    I think it's superb value for the cost!

    Like I said the only issue I ran into is the terrain fps loss.

    Oh, it seems the installer doesn't quite work right from simmarket. It places the F35 folders into the SimObjects root folder.... but it was easy enough to drag the three F35 variants to the /aircraft folder.

    I would like to have a "fully detailed FPS report" before buying it !

    Why !

    Because the vast majority of Flightsimmers do not have 15,000 $ optimized
    PC's that can drive "heavy FPS 3D models" !

    It is as simple as that !

    Waiting for the FPS Consumer Report !

    By the way,

    Do not think I did not like Dino Cattaneo's Digital Artwork !
    I fly its excellent "FPS Friendly" T-45C Goshawk almost on a daily basis !

    @ryanbatc

    Oops - you are right, there is a mistake in the installer. Fixed it, and uploaded a patch. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    @VaporZ

    Well, there would not be anything wrong if you did not like my work :-) !
    As for the fps, as I already wrote on this forum, it may not be the best model around... so if you have concerns, it may be well worth waiting for other people feedback.
    On my machine, the fps hit is visible and it is definitely worse than my previous F-35A...
    And in truth, FSX would run MUCH better if all of us developers kept the project complexity within the limits indicated in the SDK... thruth is that FSX allows quite complex add-ons, much more complex than the SDK reccomendations, and it is difficult to stop adding things and details...

    @All, once again, thanks for your appreciation!

    Wow fantastic work Dino - and not the slightest hit FPS wise on my old rig - as easy as default aircraft.

    Just got finished testing the F-35C off the Nimitz and it works perfectly! FPS are excellent for me on all 3 versions.
