Just a reminder to CFS, CFS2 & CFS3 users the Warbirds Archive will soon be going off-line. All the files will be archived on an FTP but if you want easy access it's time you re-upload files not present in the present Warbirds Library. Contact Rami if you need help!

It's time to get all CFS files uploaded to SOH, members please upload all CFS resources possible, if it's freeware it needs to be here!

Greetings. I have, a large amount of CFS & CFS2 files which I have kept seperate from the 'after-crash' SOH. I have no idea whether they have re-appeared since. I have checked the ships files and I do have some that don't show but the rest is such a large volume I have no idea where/how to confirm their existance. I have trawled the lists a number of times but have never really achieved much.

One of the problems I noticed was the existance of the same file with a different .zip name.

I would like to amalgamate pre & post crash files on my kit under the one SOH banner but am reticent to do so in case I'm acting in haste and missing the chance to re-upload them.

Just for interest sake, here is one of the lists I have compiled to demonstrate the near-impossibility of gaining any ground on the problem:

your planes after backuping your original files, so you can restore them if you don't like mine. My

EURO_43_AUTO_SPLASHS+LOAD+ALERT.zip; Put 'Euro43.bat'in your cfs2 main directory. Make sure to put the small file 'Euro43.txt' in the UIRES folder. Start the game not with cfs2.exe (you still can, but splashscreen and other screens will not change) but with Euro43.bat. Needless to say you may create a shortcut and put it on your desk as for any other program. no name.

When uploading addons please include an image file, plus put the actual file name in the keywords so later we can search by filename and delete duplicates.

SOH has more CFS resources than any other site left standing! So, it's time to get everything possible in the library before the resources are lost. If it's not payware we want it here; NOTE: We will even accept Payware if permission is given by the original author/seller.

The original list I posted is what I have compiled so far for CFS2. I have not yet compiled: ACs, scenery, Campaigns, missions, clouds etc. or any CFS1.

Just a couple of questions:

The above list is for stuff on my PC. Your reply makes it sound as if after the cut-off date I would not be able to upload them at all to SOH. Is this correct?

The files I am referring to on my PC are files D/ld before the crash. I have kept them seperate from the post-crash files. As they are so numerous, I was hoping there would be a way, (apart from ships as I have checked manually because of the low number of them), of gaining access to a definitive list as trawling through the categories to see if they are there, (and with the same .zip name) would take forever.

Also I think, correct me on this, that a lot of the older files were not lost. If this is the case, I could spend yonks uploading files blindly which are extant already in SOH.

My only concern is by uploading blindly, I could waste an awful long time uploading extant files. As I'm sure the SHIPS files I have to upload are not in the list I'll continue sending them.

I'll check them for distrubition clearance but please double check them as I don't want to upset anybody.

CombatFs/Sim-Outhouse With a 13 year history of being on-line and with a loyal following we would like members, designers and Freeware authors to upload any new additions to the Warbirds Library.

Let's face it! with no more versions of CFS the payware market is all but dead, so why not release all CFS add-ons to the public.

I would like to hold out an olive branch to everyone in the CFS community, CombatFS's only intention is to SAVE the RESOURCES.

Members who belong to other CFS sites please let the rest of the community know about our project. We will give CREDIT where it is do and allow direct links in the files descriptions back to original sites.

So far, everything is going file. I approved all the files uploaded so far...except for FS9 / FSX, which I am still working on.
