While at Fort Benning in Georgia last week, I took a side trip to Waren Robins and Robins AFB. The goal was to see a bit of the Central Georgia countryside and the aviation museum at the base.

I live down I-75 less than two hours away from the museum. I take a trip up there two or three times a year. There seems to always be something new or something that I missed on the last trip. On my most recent trip the C-130 exhibit was open. I had quite the emotional experience as I walked up into this airplane fuselage since I had flown on it as a loadmaster back in the middle 1960s. It at one time had been assigned to the 815th TCS at Tachikawa AB, Japan.
