    OBIO got me to wonderin

could they possibly be hot house grown during the winter months? they use the term farm-fresh to conjure an image in your mind. a farmer working hard to grow those onions and then sell them to the market. you know, the old-fashioned way when things were simple, and things were healthier because they were more natural. in reality it's maybe theirs or some other corporations farm, bought from some guy who realized he was a fool for working so hard for peanuts, and is an instant multi-millionare who no longer worries if he's gonna be able to break even this year. gee, i kinda went off a little there
    where's the blushing smiley?

    Hey All,

Here is a website all about vidalia onions

    http://www.vidaliaonion.org/

Seedbeds are planted in September and then seedlings transplanted to fields November to January probably looking at different harvest dates deliberately. There are rules about shipping before April 12.

Don't know why it even matters as walla walla sweets are better onions.
