    Meanwhile, in Project Cars...

The Pagani Huayra was added to the game:

A deal was signed with Ford and with Lotus, which means there will be a nice list of cars from those manufacturers in the game!

The 'Leonus' cars are now renamed Lotus, and the 49 has lost its wings to make a proper 1967 F1 car!

And rainy weather is coming too!

No wings, so plenty of sideways:

Found those too! Quite well done but very hard to master. Those cars really don't like to drive in a straight line! The Auto Union is a real beast, the front-engined cars are slightly easier to drive.
The moving viewpoint in the cockpit really adds to the realism.

And this week: Classic Caterham Sevens and clouds!:

Also stormy weather and more variations on rain, but my screen capture program quit on me.

Thanks for the HU, Ferry ! Lot has changed compared to 0239, hasn't it ! Got my flappy paddles mixed up a couple times because of the full 720 degrees throw of the G27 we now have.

    LOVE the Huayra !

Amazing model ! Zonda and classic Caterham's too and first and foremost the now original Lotus 49 !

But,hey ! What made you join pCars ? Gotta admit it's truly amazing, isn't it !

Good for you, Ferry ! And please keep them HU's coming, i'm too much involved in my two wheeled race monsters now ( and trying to set up an all bells and whistles 737 home cockpit, yessir ! )

    Cheers,
    Jan

Mainly you and Wombat, Jan! It is quite amazing though the AI can make me really angry sometimes... Got mine set to the 'minimal' setting, but still... The blue car in the screenshot is about to cut the next corner on the inside, slide over the curbs and knock me into the gravel for the second time in four or five corners... The first five corners on the very first lap!
Very agressive and quite unrealistic with a bit of work still to be done there.

Ahh! I didn't mean any harm...

You mean the Caterham ? Yeah, had that happen too. Sneaky little rotzakken, aren't they. But the good thing is you can complain about it right in the devs faces !

I'm not too worried about it at the moment. Just enjoying the play-backs and feast my eyes on the amazing graphics.

What screenshot proggy are you using ? I'm a little confused about it.... Why doesn't 'Print Screen' work anymore with these modern racing games ? ( sometimes it does work in pCars during playback when i hit pauze first but mostly not.... ) Never a problem with FS or Railworks ( although RW has it's own neat screen capture proggy build in ). I used to have a great screen capture program (payware but very small price ) but can't remember the name anymore. I just installed 'Snapshot' , freeware, takes lovely screenies of my desktop but that's about all..... Doesn't work with pCars at all...

A good tip will be highly appreciated !

    Cheers,
    Jan

Love the Huayra, even though it's not the easiest car to drive:

    Even worse in the wet:

These Caterhams are near perfect already, had a good race at Mugello:

Nice reflections in the hood and headlights:

But this Zonda R is still my favorite :

Great shots, Ferry ! Yeah, the Hurrayyy! ( couldn't they think of an easier name !??.... ) is very different to the Zonda. The models are amazing, aren't they !

And thanks for the Fraps tip ! Works like a charm right away !

    Testing, testing, testing....

    More to follow..

    More testing, testing..

The dance of the Gumperts :

    Ooops!! Sorry...

More testing down the road a piece..

The inadvertent dismantling of the brave little BAC Mono..

    Anyway... Onwards !

    Oh my!! Frontpiece gone too...

Still...mantle or no mantle, the brave little BAC Mono thundered on and made it to the finish !

    The End
