Apeldoorn Jan, paleis het Loo to be precise. Old Bernhard would have loved to see those old racers on his driveway!

As for the owners: Some are nice guys with a bit of money and a hobby, but there's a lot of 'nouveau riche' there too, better known as 'Gaastra gezinnen' these days.... Definitely NOT my kind of people!
The Talbot-Lago comes from the Louwman collection in Den Haag btw. I visited the old museum a couple of times and will try to visit the new one sometime later this year.

Here's the concours side of the field, which is split in half by the driveway:



The other side of the field is mostly used as a parking for people that come to visit with their own classic cars:

Ah!! Apeldoorn !

Boy, oh boy, i really didn't know this kind of abundage of immaculate restored vintage cars happens to be driving around here in Holland ! I watched a few Concours d'Elegance videos in the mean time, proves that your excellent photo report shows only the top of the iceberg. Wow!!! This starting to look like a regular 'Goodwood in Holland' event !

I should get out more !

I shall keep an eye on the site from now on but i'm really not sure if i have enough courage to attend the next show... I'm afraid my eyes will pop out of their sockets when being confronted with all this beauty all at once.... Not to think of my heart... It already skips a beat or two when i see my beloved MG-TD driving by one or two times a year.... ( i once happend to be the proud owner of one, you know... )

Jan, if you enjoy classic cars this is the event to visit! This was my third time and I can't wait until 2014 for the next one.
Once you get to the parking lot you've already seen so many classic cars it becomes hard to get impressed by something as 'mundane' as a Ferrari or Porsche..... There was a line of Ferrari's with a California (The new one) an F430, two 308's, a Testarossa (Miami vice white!) a 512BB and an F40.. and these weren't even the most interesting cars parked there.

Some more heroes from the last event, like this Suzuki 'RSR Works Twin Cam turbo full time 4WD' as it said on the back; 550 cc3 and a whopping 64 hp...



Isn't this the cutest little engine you've seen..?



This man is a real hero, driving this 1920's electric (!) Briggs & Stratton Flyer on the sprint track!



On previous years he used his Bugatti T13 Brescia, which carries the marks of almost a hundred years of hard use, looks like a WW1 fighter plane on wheels and sounds like one too! My favourite classic car.. Note that there's not even a firewall behind the engine!

Looks like a Belgian license plate on that Bugatti.
