new homebuilt pc

Hi

After many reading on differents sites and learning wat to do. I´m now, last weeckend built my first PC.

Chassi: Lancool PC-K9X

MB: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 L1155 v.1.3

CPU: i7 2600K 3.4GHz

Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO

Intern memory: Corsair 8GB 1866MHz CL9 Vengance

GPU: ASUS GTX560Ti 2GB CU II Top

From my old rig I use:

PSU: Corsair HX750W Professional series

HDD: Seagate 320GB.

For the CPU, I use Zalman ZM STG1 thermal greace with a bruch, very easy to applicate.

The PC run very silents and cool. I´n not pretend to overclock anyting under the garanti/Warant time

Denny, do you run FSX? If so, I'd be interested in how well it works. Looks like a great build!

Yes I run FSX but I have other flightsims to.

In FSX I can now have the slides full to the right, I se more details on the ground and a little bit sharper to.

In my older rig I have sins 5 years Intel Core 2 Duo 2,4GHz together with a Winfast 8800GTX, but the videocard running a little bit to hot, 55*C on idle, so after ca 10 minutes of flying I get artifakts with jagged roads and blurries.

After I built my new PC with the "almost" latest components and better cooling the GTX560Ti running on idle 32*C and even when I fly for a hour the temp is not over 50*C.

I think what helps must regard the FSX is the CPU, What I read the FSX is more depend on CPU than the GPU.

In the other flightsim, in special the Cliff of Dover, it run better.

So I can tell you there is a benefit on FSX

Good on you, Danny. Us old dogs CAN learn new tricks. I started building my own PCs about 10 years ago. What version of Windows are you running? I see you only have 8 GB of memory. A few years ago I started running 64 bit Windows with a motherboard that could use 16 GBs of memory installed. That took my gaming to a new level. I just completed a three monitor setup using nVidia Surround. FSX is wonderful on 3 monitors and Rise of Flight looks spectacular.

I´m running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Well - my MB can run with max 32GB of memory, but I think is overkill. I deside in the future to by more memory up to 16GB.

For now, my memory is a high profile typ so they don´t fit under the fan on the cpu cooler and I have a max budget to by moe memory at the time being.

I see you like Rise of Flight. These old vintage aircrafts is my favorite plane. I remember back at the 1950´s when I built my first plastic kit it whas a Fokker D.VII made by Aurora. I think I have all of the series then.
