    GEX vs REX

    Which should I get.... or should I get both?

    If you have the resources. . .get both. GEX is ground textures and REX is the environment (Sky, clouds, water, weather, etc).

    I use GEX north america and ultimate terrain X for the best show in north america...nice to fly dead reckoning and see all the bridges and tunnels, highways, biways..and anything else I can think of.

    Properly updated GEX gives you the best night lighting - very bright lit building windows and the down lighting effect from street lights etc...
    GEX is a necessity for dusk /dawn / night flying in FSX

    I have both GEX and REX on my machine and they are compatible by design
