Putting these files in place eliminates My VC textures and the gauges are not there anymore! What is happening? Any ideas?

I also found out the answer to something I found while looking at paint schemes online- the insignia and number Ito painted on this plane was applied to the prototype in June 1940- previously it had the number 'X-4' instead of the triangles, stripes, and number.

    Enjoy! -Mike

I was having problems myself finding a way to re-name Terry's FDE files, so here's is a conventional zip version.
Mike's FDE's haven't been tested yet, but I will give it a go.
Thanks to Tim for the updated geometry section.

Looking forward to your paint Job Matt!!!

    Cheers, Stuart

It hardly had time to get weathered; eleven flights, with a total of 3.38 hours..

The first paint was the mock up model, in camo colours only. During the Paris show the rudders had the rudders painted like the Dutch flag; red, white and blue. No further markings.
Next was the 'X-4' which had the camo scheme with the white X-4 markings on booms and wings.
The '998' had a camo base with '998' on the booms and the white stripes with black edges on the orange rudders (Outside only) and wingtips. I have found no photos that suggest the aircraft had the orange triangles like Ito painted.

    Hello Cees,
Remove the '1' from the panel entry in the header of the aircraft.cfg file. I had it in there because I was fooling about with my panel... my apologies!

    p.s. Looking sweet, Matt!

well the mock up is now flying.... now onto with the Dutch flag on the outer rudders... oh and finish the rudder 'ribbing' and prop disc i'm working on, other changes include the VC having been toned down a slight bit, and some shading added to the pilot

    You work fast Matt!

Double checked my book: by the time the mock up arrived in Paris Both sides of the rudders had the Dutch flag painted on it, on the outsides it had the Fokker logo on the fin in front of the white part, with presumably "D.XXIII" below it, but I can't quite see that clearly. The propellors had what appeared to be a natural metal colour on the outside and black on the insides. X-4 had two dark (Brown?) spinners, but 889 appears to have a much lighter colour spinner in the rear.

At first, I thought Ferry was right- I realized that, although there were lots of profiles and drawings of '998' with the triangles, there were no actual photographs... then I stumbled on a website call www.letletlet-warplanes.com and found this:

I'll grant you that it's not the best view, but look on the upper surface of the port wing and I think you'll see the lower half of the triangle...
Another picture they had answers the discussion about supercharging:

Sure looks like a little blower to me, with an intake in the leading edge...

    What do you all think?

judging by the angles visible, it sure doesn't look like camouflage, i'll do a version with and without

It is hard to tell, and photos of the 889 are very rare, but I have the same photo as mike but bigger (And for some reason in reverse) and I don't see it as a triangle. The orange triangles had the straight edge on the leading edge of the wing and the point towards the trailing edge. And if you compare one side of the wing to the other it appears they each point in a different direction.
Maybe it only had a triangle on the left wing, there's a shadow in the photo or the camo had a darker outline aorund the brown and green? Hard to tell from those few photos, almost all taken from that angle.

As for Mike's second photo: It's not a supercharger or turbo, but a bullet transportation device! To save space Fokker designed this system where the rounds are fed through the wing standing upright before being tilted and fed into the guns in the boom. Quite complex and I don't know if it was ever tested.
