Ito San did it again: a Fokker D.XXIII available

    Hi there,

FS2002/FS2004 Fokker D.XXIII. This is a fighter of the Netherlands developed just before World War II. The layout that has two engines arranged front and back in the body. Though the test was begun in May 1939, the low output of the engine and cooling the back engine became problems. The Netherlands surrendered after the invasion of the German army in May 1940, and development was discontinued. Only one prototype was destroyed afterwards or is said to have been confiscated by Germany to use as research material. By Kazunori Ito.

Haven't downloaded it yet but I thought I'd better let you know first.

    Cheers,
    Maarten

You beat me to the punch by two minutes. Downloading now but won't be able to take a good look at it until I get home from work tonight. Looks promising!

    Nice surprise!

The model seems quite accurate, but the FDE and paint could use a bit of work.

I agree, the model seems very accurate. Evidently Kazunori tried to work up the piston engines
but ran into problems. He expressed considerable frustration in the "Readme".

Many thanks to Ito-san for a great model.

Good to see him taking on the VC too.

Yessir- another nice aircraft from Ito-san!

I was debating whether to work over his FDE files or splice in those from Payakan's D.23 that he made some years ago... it looks like I'll be better off working over Ito's files... we'll see what I come up with...

I thought it was interesting that I found 3 different paint schemes for this- yet only one aircraft was produced... hmmmmmm...
