    D-Day Tarpoon

Could someone give me step by step instructions as to how to install the D-day markings on my RN Tarpoon(Avenger TBF)?
I've tried everything but still come up with the Rn markings which I had before, the repaint is of the U.S.N. Avenger by Corrado La Posta from www.isoliti4gotti.com.
I have no idea how I did the repaint in the first place ,it's been so long. It's FN 910 White 4F of 846 Sqn. Scotland.
    Thanks

Post #3 in the Projected knowledge base sticky thread in this forum has all the info on how to do this. A different aircraft is used in the example, but the steps are exactly the same.

you also have to delete the bdp file.

    Hurricane3:
You simply need to rename the desired texture file with the name of the one that currently exists in your aircraft folder.
If this is the aircraft I think it is then rename the .dds file: tbf1_001.dds.
Open your CFS3 folder (ETO, MAW, etc.), then the Aircraft folder, then the Tbf-1 folder, then the Texture folder.
Move this renamed file there replacing the current one.

Leave it if you like, but it's not all that hard once you've done it a few times. I've done it countless times and could do (and likely have done) it in my sleep - and if I can figure it out, it ain't rocket surgery- but it does take a couple tries. Once you figure it out, it opens up a lot of new possibilities of things you can add on your own.

    two files

The Tarpoon D-Day new texture file contains two files and the readme and a jpg. The two files are ,tbf1 001.dds and tbf1 1 s.dds. I replaced two of the dds files ,tbf 91 s.dds and tbf 91.t dds and left the third dds file ,tbf1vc1.dds alone ,thinking it has somthing to do with the vc cockpit. I ran the bdp nuker ,but no change, still the same texture.
By the way I just have a plain install with Firepower, D-day and the nationality pak plus a bunch of planes and the free addon airfields pak I got many years ago from the cd from Computer Pilot magizine
Since I have a severe anixity disorder as well as depression and OCD. I think I'll leave things alone because if things don't work right it makes everything worse.
This is a bad hobby for me to be in and I never fly just collect planes. I hope to beat this someday and start flying again ,but I just don't know.
So I thank you guys for trying to help but I guess it's a lost cause. Just have a safe and happy Memorial Day week end.

There is probably another file with the same name as the t.dds residing somewhere in your CFS3 folder.
    Try a search.

do you mean in the texture files?

These are the dds files in the texture folder of the RN Tarpoon. tbf 91 s.dds , tbf 91. t . dds, tbf1 vc1.dds ,prop usn blurred . dds and prop usn static. dds.
If there are others in other planes ,there are probley over a hundred ,and it's not worth checking all those texture files. As for any in the root CFS3 folder I didn't see any.
So the best thing is just forget it.
The readme just says put the two files in the ( tbf1 001.dds ,and tbf1 i s.dds) texture folder which I did at first ,that didn't work so I deleted the two most likely dds files and replaced them with the two in the new D-Day zip ,then ran the BDP nuker but nothing changed ,so although I thank you so much for taking the time to steer me in the right direstion ,it's not worth the work. I can live with out the D-Day stripes on the Tarpoon.
    Thanks again.
