Cato said "Carthaginem esse delendam" I say "Carthago iam diu deleta, sed enim Bellum Alium adhuc aedificandum est"

I live outside of, but work in York and have seen this in the flesh several times. It's quite an impressive thing and has a rather H.G. Wells vibe to it. York also has The Allied Air Forces Memorial at the York Air Museum, Elvington just out side the city.
Uniquely it also has ( the only one as far as I know) The Women's Air Services Memorial

Oh BTW Naismith your signature quote is one of Arthur C Clarke's Three Laws. He saw Asimov (who was a friend) had his Three Laws of Robotics and wanted his own.
They are:
- When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
- The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
- Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Apologies if this comes across as being pedantic.
