I know USN planes need the the drogue/basket for refueling, but it would be nice if some talented painter could make the drogue/basket disappear with an alpha channel for the USAF models.

That old trick doesn't work in FSX. Well, it does but it also makes everything behind the "removed" part disappear as well as you look at it.
