Fortunately,...the Japanese owner has finally been tracked down and bike will be returned. And fixed up too. Unfortunately,...there was loss of three family members.

there used to be another place, called seeger cycle, that made chopper kits that retained the same rake and trail numbers. that way you could have a long front end with stock handling characteristics. their link doesn't seem to be working. i had ridden a bike with one of their kits, and it was really really nice.
