I've watched this classic Zanardi pass over and over again, still have most the CART seasons from 1990-2000 in my video archive.
What a shame it all fell over ...........![]()

Sitting in a lawn chair with a case of beer on Memorial Day morning with Indy on the radio back in the 60's, (no TV coverage back then). Cars with no wings and the drivers had personalities, no sponsor generated generic people! It just didn't get any better than that at the time.
No disagreement from me here either. And it's no coincidence that today's best IndyCar drivers used to drive in CART. This includes Wil Power, Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves, Sebastian Bourdeis, Oriol Servia, Graham Rahal, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Justin Wilson. All of them drove the high horsepower Champcars - not these watered down HP go-karts that are driven today.
The drivers want 200 more HP on road courses - let's hope this new guy in charge of IndyCar listens to them....
