    Chi-Chi Jima 1945 Scenery Uploaded

Well we finally uploaded Chi-Chi Jima 1945 scenery. It has taken longer than expected but there is no substitute for perfection. Mark Schimmer and I hope you enjoy the ground breaking techniques used in making Chi-Chi Jima. As soon as Rami gives it the ok you should be able to download.

Next, Mark is putting the finishing touches on Solomon Island. He is hoping to include some of the new techniques in that release as well. Thanks to all for your patience. Again you can see Mark and I having a beer in celebration of finishing Chi-Chi Jima in a picture from Solomon Island in another thread about Solomon Islands.

This package is fantastic, the effects surprising. I put my brand new Elco 80 PT boat in the harbor off the Susacki Airfield to make some torpedo runs on all the ships. I instantly received intense shore fire, huge explosions all around my little boat. I wonder what else I'm gonna discover with this great WWII scenery. Thanks for the fun.

jojohnson9, you have many more surprises in store for you. I ran into the same thing with my torpedo boat. The water runway off Chi-Chi Jima is the most dangerous.

See if you can find President George Bush just getting on board the submarine.

Thanks for all your hard work. I have to mix changes with my existing terrain.cfg ( it levelled up some issues with the Thames in London so I haven't installed it yet). I'll hopefully get to it sometime in the next few days.

Thanks Roger, the particular fix you at referring to can be found HERE! You do not need this fix to use Chi-Chi Jima's new shorelines but you should have it installed for Iwo Jima. It is a good idea to make the fix for just about any scenery. Enjoy!

I am enjoying the Chi-CHi Jime 1945 scenery, thanks for creating it. I do have a couple questions.

    1. I overwrote the train.cfg with the one supplied. Was there an appreciable difference in the new one and if i wanted the original one back how could I
put the original one back? I failed to make a backup of my original and just overwrote the original one.

    2. Any hints other then fly SouthWest from Susacki Island and you can find george bush rescue. Possibly a compass direction and approx distance? I did a sweep
and did not find the SAR operaton nor the Buse rescue.

Just one other thing; I noticed a .bgl in the effects folder... "ChiChi_Shima_flak_watersplash.BGL"
    Should it be placed elsewhere?

How did that get in there? Just delete it Roger, there is an updated one in the Chi-Chi Jima 1945 scenery folder. Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone reading this can do the same. In the Effects folder just delete the bgl file.

    Much appreciated Roger.
