Hey Matt,
You could see if it will just fit into the space of the present EKP4 unit. Create a copy of the panel config first for backup. Then in the original, copy/paste in the name and location of your other GPS system into that same string that the EKP4 is at (should be 3 total, 1 popup, 2D panel, and VC). Leave the dimensions as they are as you will be fitting it into the area that the EKP4 is at, which is a polygon structure.
See it that works.
Note there are 3D semi flush buttons on the face, so you might have some very slight mismatch. But it should work ok.

Well, as a follow-up, my findings are:
---Following Bill's instructions, the realityXP 530W fits perfectly in the VC panel; The bezel from the stock unit still shows through a bit on the bottom and sides, but it isn't terribly intrusive
---The popup function of the RXP garmin needs to be added manually through the RealityXP editor or using a modified .ini file from another 530 equipped aircraft
---The problem that I have encountered, which is what will most likely make me return the panel to original form, is that there is now no HSI. The stock unit integrates the EHSI to the display, and there is no analog HSI to replace it once the RXP unit is installed. But, it does work. Just an fyi in case anyone was interested....
Thanks Roger. Massively greatful. Those photos are amazing.
Matt,
What you could do is create a popup HSI. If you own the Wittman Tailwind, there is an HSI in there that you could rig as a popup. Actually, you could also rig a popup of the EKP4 also which has has the 'digital' HSI in it. This way, you have your fave GPS in the center VC console and a popup HSI to navigate by.

I am so used to trying different ways to get things working.... Almost like I went to the McGiver accademy of FS training...
The best way to do this is to be able to bring up one gauge over another. I just had this problem a few days ago. No room to add more gauges on polygons to shuffle them in and out (on and off Visibility codes). I then thought, how could one turn on a 'gauge' on top of another in the panel config? Can you make a gauge disappear to reveal the one under it? Kind of like paper/scissors/stone. I then ended up making dual packaged single gauges, a composite gauge that when you click the face, the second built in version appears. This way, both gauges are now on the 'same' polygon structure and no appearance is needed.
But in your case, you want two separate gauages to appear on one location. You 'can' do this, but the second one in the stack in the VC will show 'only' and the first, gauge00, will be under it; paper/scissors/stone.
If.... there were a way to turn the gauge on and off so that it disappears (like a popup in a sort of way), then it would work.. . But I do not know if that is possible...
This is how I did the Dynamic Aux gauges by the way, the click and flip Metric-to-SAE Nautical gauges. (Even has a neat little 'clickity click' sound. )

Bill, am I correct in assuming that this is a free upgrade for owners of the original Dynamic?

Just re-downloaded from The Flight Sim Store and installer says is Ver 1.02. The exe. filesize is 185.097 Kb. Is this correct???
Thanks Bill ..... will have to pick it up in the next couple of days.

Bill,
Should we uninstall 1.2 first or just reinstall over it?
Joe
Hey Joe,
Just reinstall over it. None of the texture folders were renamed, none of the aircraft folders were also renamed, so you are safe to copy on top of.
It will install the latest LHC sound file pack as well. Some sounds will not be used by this plane, but are a sound library for most all LHC planes, so let that copy over as well.
It will reinstall Fonts and also the gaugesound.dll, just ignore it and overwrite. The gaugesound.dll is universal.
