Evening all,
at long last I have finally sat down and done some FS again! In this case I decided to indulge in some repainting fun with the subject being two Canberra T.4s of the South African Air Force. Now, I know Jens-Ole has done some superb versions for the Alphasim model, but I thought I'd do the same for my own. They will be available soon, but for now I took them on a little jaunt over Cape Town - both are from 12 Sqn, SAAF.
Firstly, '459' in original High Speed Silver and Day Glo scheme from the 60s:
Some high-jinks (naughty pupil pilot!)
Then '458' in late-era PRU Blue scheme:
Coming back in:
On finals:
Tucked up - natty engine blanks the SAAF used, eh?:
And 459 is in for some maintenance:
These are both for the T.4 model here: http://www.flyingstations.com/canber...-trainers.html but for the rivet counters (me included) 458 would go better with the Peruvian T.74 model I built, as this has the more accurate, late-era UHF aerial. Incidentally 458 was supplied to the Peruvians directly from SAAF in the 90s.
