Super photos, but I wish people would quit confusing Kentucky for all of Appalachia. Appalachia can go from northern Alabama, northwest Georgia, extreme northwest South Carolina, western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, western Virginia, about all of West Virginia, extreme southeastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania to southwestern New York. Yes, Yankees live in Appalachia too.

Mark O'Connor was a violin virtuoso at age 14, he has gone on to become a living legend in North Carolina folk music. This is one of the most melodic and peaceful songs ever done for strings. It was composed by Mark O'Connor and with the addition of Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer on stand up bass, the song has become an anthem for western North Carolina.
