    P-51 Jackie / Lorraine

Lt "Wild" Bill Crump of the 360th FS/ 356th FG was known to give his pet coyote 'Jeep' rides in his P-47, sometimes even on operational missions. Unfortunately, Jeep was run over by a truck, but was immortalised on the side of Bill's P-51 'Jackie', named after his sweetheart.

Wow, another absolutely superb repaint. Thankyou.

Just wondering whether you have made a repaint of the 339th FG 'Marinell' for 'Little Friends'? She is based near to where I live and it would be great to be able to 'fly' her myself. http://www.hardwickwarbirds.com/

    Many thanks

She sure is photogenic! Donīt know if my screens do justice her, but I gave my best...

Anyway, what I wanted to ask: Since I only got the LF1 package, is it possible to use the Ferocious Frankie paint of yours on that one, without messing around with it too much? (I am not a natural with that .bmp and .dds stuff ) I tried it the way it was, but the wings seem to appear way to dark, I guess some alpha/specular problem? I really like Frankie, too!

Got to look if there is one of those piano birds aviable for LF1, too....

Glad you like Jackie, guys! More on 'Wild Bill' Crump, its pilot here: http://wildbillcrump.com/

As for LF1 piano keys, 'Josephine would fit the bill: here

and if the wings for 'Frankie' are too dark and the fuselage looks OK to you, why not use the wings textures of any other paint that looks good?

'Damn Yankee', perhaps..if someone can find me a good pic of the logo's on the canopy rim?

Tried Frankie, it was just the bump map missing for the wings, it is not included with the LF1 common texture folder, so I added it, and it looks quite good except for some issues, like the fillet in front of the stabilizer on the tailplane, which is not painted (silver without panel lines now), but maybe I can work something, or Iīll just fly the other nice textures aviable. Thanks for the advice anyway! Will try Josephine later, I guess!
The Mustang is very nice to operate out of Plum Island, but the landing there is quite a challange, I guess I would have needed some spare parts for the main gear by now
