Yes, I agree. However, I have just uploaded all of Ian Elliot's scenery and there are a few double versions of his airfields. Perhaps it may be worth contacting these authors, if possible, to see if they mind if we cull some of their work.

    Hi Robert John,

Just let me know what you want and don't want to be uploaded to the new Library.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Kdriver,

Since Ian Elliot is still an active member, I gave him a heads-up and put together a compilation package that has all his airfields for CFS2, except for the older versions which he did an update for. Unless he objects, I have a feeling it will be safe to discard those.

I see you have already started consolidating Cees's files - I would put the Hardwick and Linton Watch Office files in with the Buildings file. If you open the Building file you will see many more watch offices there as well. Note there are two versions of Hardwick aerodrome.

I left all Xavier's earlier scenery files behind in the Archive.

Going through the scenery archive there are lots of mesh files which I won't upload as Richard Ludowise's mesh supercedes all of them.

    Kdriver,

Thank you for the feedback, I did. I also consolidated some of Xavierb's work. The Japan package has the MB fix and the fuji airfields, the scw airfield package includes the patch, and I consolidated the barrage balloons.

There's a "hidden" compartment in the archive for xavierb's work, and so I found it and uploaded cfs2barracks.zip and cfs2.hangars.zip

    My internet connection is slow.

    Many thanks

I just uploaded all of The B24 Guys overhauled aircraft after I consolidated things down. I already let The B24 Guy know I was going to consolidated things down by applying all past fixes/updates to each aircraft if needed.

If they could be put into The B24 Guys name it would be nice.

I have found info about the TBF Avenger that might be interesting. After the 1st 50 TBFs rolled off the line the navy decided to get red of the second pilot. From then on the grew consisted of the pilot, ball gunner and radioman. When The TBF wint into its st battle which was at Midway it only carried the pilot , ballgunner and radioman no second pilot. It would be nice if we could put a panal in the 1% aircraft. We need boath TBFs for CFS2

    Allen and others,

One of the nice things about being the SOH librarian is that I can do exactly what you guys are worried about...making sure the material goes under the original author's name.

And to Allen...OUTSTANDING JOB uploading TheB24Guy's aircraft that way. You did exactly what I hoped people would do, and the icing on the cake was that you included pictures!

When we get to people like baldy and thicko, the ability to consolidate packages will become critical.
