Apparently, Carenado will be including rxp integration in an upcoming service pack. Just read that on avsim. So, that is good news for those of us who want to use the newer tech and nav database...
On another forum I have read some very negative feedback from a 200 pilot if I understood correctly.
Mainly some bugs with the electrical systems, with the lights switches, and with the engine handling ? Bugs or lack of functionnalities, "as expected from Carenado products" they said...
I don't have any Carenado product so far, but if I ever buy one, it will surely be a simple/old plane instead of a pseudo-modern one. The lack of functionnalities and other limitations will be less noticable on these old and simple birds... hopefully :/
I think I hate A2A.
Yeah A2A and a few others set the bar so high alot expect everyone elses releases to be simular or even exceed. I admit I am a little let down but realize alot of it is I have been waiting for a 200 series for a LONG time so my expectations were high.
As always I am split on people insisting on accurate and intensive systems modeling. The PMDG crowds are willng to waiting 3 years to get their switch throwing,FMC programming fix but I get antsy after waiting 6 months! Carenado puts out some great looking GA planes and on a routine basis.
That said people will vote with their wallets. I just left Avsim and its getting slammed. It does seem like it was rushed out to be fixed later which alot of blame needs to be placed on US for not only putting up with it but ENCOURAGING IT!
Also I heard a repeating advertising practice alot are getting tired of seeing.
"Tested by real pilots." Well I am a "real pilot", he** I got 3 years worth of mashing my as* in Kingairs and would make a terrible beta tester. I flew the Carenado late last night and never noticed 1/2 the issues being call "deal breakers" by some. Its the overall experience and suspension of reality I am in it for, the flying part, not systems babysitting.
All that said, my fps are suffering and I am getting stutters from this bird. I replaced the sound with another Kingair soundset. The Carenado was way to loud and the high pitched prop drone was giving me a headache. The Aersoft Bronco was also annoying and overbearing so I have the feeling they are done by the same people or technique.
Even with Trackir I could not look down to change head or course resorting to popups resorting to sizing them every flight.
I could not get or figure out the instrument lights just a overly bright panel light. Not dimmer or at least operational. The landing lights were dim and not usefull. Plane had some nervous twitches and the autopilot seems wonky. Maybe it was my weather??? Not getting into the systems accuracy or omissions. Thats already been done. It felt like a med twin, flew like one, looks like one so I am satisfied. Not "this is the one" over joyed but content. The 40 dollar price tag does and did have people staring at the details a little harder. $30 not so much.
I have the following Carenado products, Cessna C337, A36 Bonanza, V35 Bonanza, C 206, C 172N, and now the C90.
Anyone who as purchased any of the above, will know that they all required updates soon after release.
They are all still great products, but their way of releasing them requires attention in order to stop all this negative crit which floods into
the forums after release and which can't be good for business choose what they say.
I still maintain that the overall products are sound and patience is a virtue we are told, so time will tell with this one,
it's just very frustrating having to wait for what should have been right in the first place.
You would not want to buy a car if one of the wheels was missing would you?
A2A tests the #%^# out of their products,They're flyable and near flawless right from jump.
Patrick
Yeah but A2A,PMDG,Realair ect release a few a year to a few a decade for Realair hahaha.
Carenado just needs to slow down. Unless there is another Kingair about to be released by someone else lol.
They just need to advertise "test pilots wanted" instead of "tested by real pilots."
This works for some of the others!
I like Carenado products and have been happy with every one I have purchased
Keep them coming Carenado

A new FSX Kingair release should be about 15 pages and triple the post by now.
This one faded quick but the good news is there are alot of dedicated tweekers who have already fixed alot of minor issues. I used a mod last night that puts invisible hotspots that are mousable on the forward display so you can change heading/course without looking down or using the ap popup.
I worked for a state and use to fly public servants, uuum I mean "officials" to beach resorts for the weekend to attend meetings on poverty. I did not know you needed gold clubs or to bring along your pretty secretary, uum I mean "daughter" either.
We had 2 Kingair 200s, 402B, 182RG and a Bell 206. Also a Lear 35 for the real estate side. Flew the wings off everything up until election time then nobody went any where for fear of being labelled "wastefull".
Then after the elections it was back to doing 50 mile flights in Kingairs with 2 souls onboard and doing photo ops landing at highschools in the heli at 500+ a hr.
That looks pretty nice. For the repainters out there, these days the US registered C-90B's have to have their inboard, lower engine nacelles painted flat black by requirement (anti flash from the bottom beacon). Subtle but important detail if someone wants to get the textures right. In fact, I think that is a requirement now on all us registered King Air models.
